PK Ridge Glider - Extreme Glide Bait

The PK Ridge Glider is a shad-profile glide bait that is extremely effective at triggering strikes as it mimics a distressed baitfish while it glides and settles to the bottom.  This lure can effectively be used for ice fishing or for casting or jigging in open water.

How Do You Fish This Glide Bait?

Cast them or jig them fast, allowing them to settle and glide upon retrieval.  The PK Ridge Glider has an oversized rear hook with an added blade (which is easily removable) for more flash, noise, and vibration, which creates a unique swim-like action.  Because of this unique jigging action, as noted earlier, it can work in open water or ice fishing applications.

The key to fishing these glide baits, whether in open water or ice fishing, is to always be ripping.  But also don't forget to pause in between rips.  More often than not, they will hit on the fall.  There are other ways to fish these baits, but they are designed as a ripping style bait.

For best results for walleye fishing, we fish our glide baits with a medium-heavy rod along with 10lb nylon braid attached to 15lb fluorocarbon about 2 feet from the lure.  If you're going to fish northern pike or musky, for example, you'd want to really step up the main line and fluorocarbon leader sizes.
